Front Street Boogie-woogie

Vertiginous, when I try to "read" the planes of the photo. The center strip of windows wants to shift back and forth between being a wall between the old and new buildings and stretching away from the balconied corner, down an alleyway. Escher would have approved.

I guess that's a disadvantage of being familiar with the buildings -- and with something else in the photo that is not a building. I won't say what it is because that might spoil the effect.

Obviously I thought of Mondrian here, but I think you're right and it is closer to Escher.

Horizontal, vertical and and diagonal lines, lots of different geometric shapes, interesting colours and reflections.....................such a lot crammed in, but all the better for it. Very nice indeed.
