Now that summer vacation is starting... Dear friends, if you are traveling on the autobahn and stop at rest areas or parking lots to use the restroom... please, PLEASE take a look *behind* the building—even in the evening. Even if it feels a bit creepy, do it, because animals are often abandoned there—left in a cage, a carrier, or simply tied up somewhere. Without food or water... Often, you won't hear a sound because the poor animals are terrified and staying completely quiet, or they are already too weak to draw attention to themselves. Please don't look away; please help. Call the police, or—in the age of smartphones—use Google or similar services to find a local animal welfare organization... Thank you so much.❤ Copying and sharing is encouraged.
