Son dernier éclair / His Last Ray

Je me joins à J. Garcia pour rendre hommage à Jean-Luc Godard mort le 13 septembre dernier, icône du cinéma, grand créateur et observateur de notre temps. Parfois controversé, toujours admis comme précurseur et novateur, fin explorateur de l'âme et de la société humaine. Paix à son âme tourmentée, qu'un digne hommage soit rendu à sa contribution éminente à l'art dans ce qu'il a de plus édifiant.

I join J. Garcia in paying tribute to Jean-Luc Godard died on 13 September, an icon of cinema, a great creator and observer of our time. Sometimes controversial, always acknowledged as a precursor and innovator, a fine explorer of the human soul and society. Peace be to his tormented soul, and may worthy homage be paid to his eminent contribution to art at its most edifying.

Encore un! Dieu cette hécatombe d'acteurs et de metteurs en scène français qui sont partis à tout jamais. Qu'il repose en paix, c'était un homme empreint de talent auprès de grands aussi comme Éric Rohmer, François Truffaut, Claude Chabrol, Jacques Rivette qui avait participé à La Gazette du cinéma et aux Cahiers du cinéma comme critique du septième art. J'ai adoré A bout de souffle, Pierrot le fou et Le mépris. Pour moi les plus réussis. Merci pour la chanson D'Anna Karina qui me rappelle tant de souvenirs. Quant à votre création c'est du Godard pur jus.....
