teapots

It's hard to make just one! :) I've been obssessed with making teapots for most of the last year... They're challenging, and frustrating, but also a lot of fun. :)

That was the teapot I was most worried about; the handle survived the bisque, but popped off on the drive up. :( I'm trying to "glaze-glue" it back on - if all goes well, the handle will stay upright when everything gets all hot and melty; there's a non-zero chance that the handle will fall over and instead stick to the side of the teapot. [ETA: it worked! :D finished teapot in notes.]

Glaze-gluing the broken handle to the teapot. First, I dripped a little bit of glaze on the attachment points, and stuck the handle on with some white glue - the glue helps hold things in place temporarily, and will burn out in the firing.

Glaze-gluing the broken handle back to the teapot. I (more-or-less carefullyish) poured glaze over the top of the teapot; when it all melts, it will get in and around the attachment points, holding everything together. If the handle doesn't fall over and stick to the side. :) (of course, there's still the lid and the strainer holes to worry about - there's always a chance that the lid will stick, or that the holes will get clogged with glaze or something... :) )
