There were many NO SKATING!!! signs posted around the pond; there was a large patch of open water around and under the footbridge not 20 feet away from where some kids were skating. And you *know* that ice has never seen a Zamboni... But they looked like they were having fun, and no one actually fell through the ice, so what do I know? :)
