Palm Springs Bikeways
An effort to document some of what you see on one of the bikeways in Palm Springs. This initial set of pictures is in the order of a rough loop from Sunrise and 111 to Date Palm and back to Sunrise and Riverside.
Palm Springs Bikeway (4542)
Bikepath that runs along Tahquitz Creek and Riverside Drive in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs.
Part of an effort to provide some visual documentation of the extensive bikeways in Palm Springs. See the Palm Springs Bikeways album to see photos in geographical (not time) order.
Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4544)
The beginning of the Tahquitz Creek Loop bike route is a little confusing. At Sunrise Way and Sunny Dunes, it appears to go onto the grounds of Desert Chapel church. The first time I rode down there I assumed someone was going to stop me and tell me I was in the wrong place, but I wasn't (see adjacent pictures). Desert Chapel street appears to be a public street.

Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4545)
The beginning of the Tahquitz Creek Loop bike route, on Desert Chapel street, which looks private but isn't (see adjacent pictures).

Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4546)
At the end of Desert Chapel street, a narrow bridge and a sign for the bikepath. The warning sign simply tells you that the bikeway runs along a golf course and you need to be careful about golf balls.

Palm Springs Tahquitz Creek Loop Bikeway (4552)
Tahquitz Creek Loop bike route. One of the more confusing parts where you come out onto a street (Farrell Drive) and the route seems to end, but it actually starts on the opposite side of the street about a half block up (where the man is walking his dog).
