Sequoia NF, Sherman Pass Rd 3174a

Sherman Pass Road climbs up from the Kern River to Sherman Pass (at 9,200 feet) and then descends to the desert to the east. It is one of the few crossings of the Sierras, and is a winding, narrow, mostly paved road drivable in almost any vehicle. The scenery is spectacular, and there is very little traffic. For most of the drive I encountered only 2 other cars, but about 5 logging trucks.
