We had just returned to the city centre on this bus after taking a ride over the Itchen Bridge to the eastern side of the river. Friday 30 June 2017 (1603) – We had just had a ride on Go-South Coast (Bluestar) 2406 (HF55 JZD) on service 7 from Southampton city centre across the Itchen Bridge. It was now seen here on Portsmouth Road near Sholing Station on the eastern side of the river. It is a Mercedes-Benz Citaro that was new to Wilts and Dorset in January 2006.

Friday 30 June 2017 (1546) - Go-South Coast (Unilink) 1091 (YN55 NFP), an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD new in West Bargate, seen in Southampton. It was new in September 2005 to Accord Operations, Southampton. Livery is for the Unilink network.

Saturday 1 July 2017 (0824) – First Hampshire and Dorset 63312 (SN65 OLU), a Wrightbus Streetlite DF new in October 2015, seen from the old city wall on Castle Way, Southampton soon to be bound for Portsmouth on service X4.

Saturday 1 July 2017 (0823) – Go-South Coast 1128 (HF58 KCE), a Scania OmniCity N230UD new in February 2009, and 2747 (HF65 CXX), an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC new in December 2015, seen in Bargate Street, Southampton. The ancient Bargate and a section of the old city wall are visible on the right.

Saturday 1 July 2017 (0743) – Two sections of Southampton’s old city walls, and a modern bridge that links them, frame two First Hampshire and Dorset Wrightbus Streetlite DF single deckers and a Go-South Coast Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double decker. ‘City Red’ livery is carried by 47597 (SN11 FEX) and ‘Solent Rangers’ livery is carried by 63310 (47670 (SN65 OLR). Go-South Coast 1565 (HJ63 JNV) carries the ‘Unilink’ livery for a group of services serving the University sites. The lettering on the rear panel reads ‘University bus links anyone can use’.
