Saturday 6 May 2017 (0901) – A procession of buses heading along Princes Street, Edinburgh. Leading is East Coast Buses 10054 (SF17 VMA) followed by First Scotland East 63255 (SN65 OKV) and Lothian Buses 40 (BT64 LHV), 904 (SN08 BXU) and 310 (SN09 CUG).

Saturday 6 May 2017 (0857) – Looking west along Princes Street, Edinburgh. First Scotland East 63248 (SN64 CPK), a Wrightbus Streetlite DF, follows a line of Lothian Buses vehicles and another First Streetlite DF (63272). An Edinburgh Trams car set stands at the platform.

Friday 5 May 2017 (1824) – A scene in Princes Street, Edinburgh with the Scott Monument and Balmoral Hotel in the background. The vehicles in the photograph include a number of buses operated by Lothian Buses most obvious are 32 (BG64 FXE) and 562 (SA15 VUN), a coach of local operator Duddingston Private Hire (TJI 8299) and a First Scotland 37271 (SN57 JBU).

Sunday 7 May 2017 (0935) – Edinburgh Bus Tours, owned by Transport for Edinburgh, operates three different city tours including the CitySightseeing branded tour. 228 (SJ16 CTE), a Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5TL new in August 2016, was seen turning from Princes Street into Lothian Road.

Saturday 6 May 2017 (1142) – Edinburgh Bus Tours 651 (XIL 1484) is a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident that had been new to the main Lothian fleet registered as either SK52 OHM or SK52 OHN. (I will have to check this point out as there are conflicting references on the Internet). The bus has been part of the tours fleet for quite some time and now works the ‘3 Bridges Tour’ that runs out to the Forth rail and road bridges.

Sunday 7 May 2017 (1145) – Edinburgh Bus Tours 650 (XIL 1483) is a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident that had been new to the main Lothian fleet in November 2002 registered SK52 OHL. The bus has been part of the tours fleet for quite some time and now works the ‘3 Bridges Tour’ that runs out to the Forth rail and road bridges. The two road bridges are visible in this view. The most distant (with white looking cables) is the new Queensferry Crossing due to open during 2017. The original Forth Road Bridge (with grey tower and cables) is closer to the camera and opened in 1964. The third of the bridges mentioned in the tour name is of course the Forth Railway Bridge. That opened in 1890 it passes above close to where the bus is standing. The tour features an option to take a boat trip to see the bridges from below. We were happy to just take the bus ride.

The third of the bridges mentioned in the tour name is of course the Forth Railway Bridge which opened in 1890 and is the backcloth to this photograph. The rear panel of the bus features an aerial view of the bridges. The tour features an option to take a boat trip to see the bridges from below. We were happy to just take the bus ride.
