Saturday 10 September 2016 (1553) – Trent Barton (trentbarton) 671 (FJ55 AAF), seen in Mansfield bus station. A Wrightbus bodied Scania L94UB working the Sutton-in-Ashfield to Nottingham service 141. We rode on this bus from Blidworth on our inward journey at approx. 1425 and travelled back on it at 1600. Whilst we looked around the town centre the bus had been to Sutton-on-Trent and back. Different drivers though. Does 94 out of 109 sound better than 86%?

Saturday 14 July 2018 (1127) – A Trent Barton (trentbarton) Wrightbus bodied Scania L94UB seen travelling down the High Street in Blidworth when working the Nottingham to Sutton-in-Ashfield service 141. This was a quick fire shot taken whilst I was up on the roof of my daughter’s new garage extension!

Left: 681 (FJ55 ABK), a Wright Solar bodied Scania L94UB, in Trent Barton fleet livery was working the Sutton-in-Ashfield to Nottingham service 141. This service runs via Skegby, Mansfield, Rainworth, Blidworth and Hucknall. Quicker options exist for a ride to Mansfield (‘the threes’ and ‘the nines’ take 15 minutes compared with around 30 minutes on the 141) and to Nottingham (45 minutes on the direct ‘Pronto’ service compared with 1 hour 59 minutes on the 141). Right: 258 (YX66 WMG), an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC new in December 2016, branded for ‘the nines’ Derby to Mansfield service. The company has a penchant for varied brandings and an out of the ordinary way to identify local route variants. ‘The nines’ uses a decimal point followed by a further digit. Service 9.1 detours from the main road to serve Kilburn (Elm Tree Avenue) and later serves the East Midlands Designer Outlet at South Normanton. Service 9.3 stays on the main road at Kilburn and after South Normanton travels via Pinxton and Kirby Cross. I travelled on 258 to Mansfield and from there caught 681 for my return to Blidworth managing to buy a snack between the two rides.

Wednesday 12 September 2018 (1028) – Trent Barton (trentbarton) 606 (FJ03 VVT), a Wright Solar bodied Scania L94UB new in April 2003, seen leaving Mansfield bus station when working the 1027 ‘black cat’ service to Derby. It wears fleet livery with advertising for the ‘Mango’ fare payment card.

It had just made the climb from Ravenshead and had come over the peak of the hill for the downhill run to Blidworth village. It is a Wright Solar bodied Scania L94UB new in May 2003.

Thursday 13 September 2018 (1055) – Just as the 1055 departure of the ‘Red Arrow’ non-stop service to Derby had moved off the departure stand, the 1105 vehicle moved in. Trent Barton (trentbarton) 741 (FJ09 BXF), a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in March 2009, wears a promotional livery for the Mango payment card. The 1055 service was worked by a Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B11RT coach (81) in full ‘Red Arrow’ livery. Two rather different types.
