Heading away from the camera is Arriva Cymru 2510 (CX05 AAF), a Wright bodied VDL, working the 0615 Dolgellau to Wrexham service X94.

Wednesday 27 July 2011 (0919) - GHA Coaches SK52 UTU, a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart new to H-A-D Coaches of Shotts, Scotland in January 2003, seen from our hotel window of the Royal Hotel, Llangollen when working the 0845 service 5 from Wrexham to Corwen. The branded livery is carried by most of the buses GHA, and its associated company Bryn Melyn, operate on the Llangollen-Wrexham services. Bryn Melyn was originally based in Llangollen and its garage was located on the site where some apartments have now been built (beyond the railway carriage standing in the railway station siding).

Wednesday 27 July 2011 (0750) - GHA Coaches T549 HNH, a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart new to Armchair in June 1999, seen on the Dee bridge in Llangollen. The destination indicator is set for ‘Ruthin X5’ although the bus wasn’t yet in service. I suspect it was running empty to Corwen to work the 0810 service to Ruthin which the timetable shows as service X50 (and the only X50 journey in either direction between Corwen and Ruthin shown in the timetable. The service is covered by the X5 otherwise and the X50 service runs between Ruthin and Denbigh. This was a school holiday day. On school days the timetable shows the trip starting at Llangollen at 0748 as an X5 becoming an X50 at Corwen. The same bus might then run through to Denbigh on the X50 at 0845.
