FBY 007 (Operator, chassis and body all unknown). What is known is that it was making a sightseeing stop at Knight’s Wash-house near Fontana, a village taking its name from ‘La Grana Fontana’, a spring which enabled the people of Victoria to obtain fresh water from the 1600s. For the benefit of tourists some local ladies still washed their clothes there and derive some income from the coins given by the tourists. Not bad to be paid as you do your own washing!

FBY 024
Operator: Emmanuel Tabone?
Chassis: Leyland Leopard circa 1962
Body: Plaxton Supreme circa 1977
Chassis re-built and re-bodied by Fairclough (Tatlock) of Radcliffe circa 1977. Interior front panel still carried the words ‘You are now travelling in Tatlock’s Eurocruiser’.
Air conditioning units were fitted to a number of former British coaches after their arrival on the Maltese Islands because the curved side windows of these coaches did not easily lend themselves to having opening windows fitted as on earlier models.
Seen at Marsalforn
