Wednesday 8 September 2021 (0758) – Mulleys Motorways MUI 7919 seen in Barton Mills about to face a minor diversion due to drainage and road repairs in The Street. Normally the bus would travel straight along The Street to the Bull Inn but the diversion would take it down Church Lane (on the left) and then along Newmarket Road. This was the 0735 service 955 from West Row via Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds, a service operated on schooldays only but also available to the general public. The bus is an Alexander bodied Volvo B7TL new as Dublin Bus AV14 (00D 40014) in September 2000 which became X179 CHJ when imported to England. Mulleys re-registered it to MUI 7919 in May 2016.

Thursday 9 September 2021 (0827) – I often try to capture vehicles in out of the ordinary locations particularly when on diversions etc. A road closure for drainage and road repairs in The Street, Barton Mills resulted in the diversion of the two Mulleys Motorways services through the village this week. Scania N94UD OmniCity YN54 AHE is seen here on the diversion route in Church Lane when working the 0755 service 357 from Cavenham to Mildenhall - primarily a school related service which is also available to the general public. It was new to Nottingham City Transport in September 2004 as their number 211.
