Thursday 30 April 2015 (1210) – A general view of Luton Station Interchange showing the close proximity of the Luton-Dunstable Guided Busway. Thursday 30 April 2015 (1209) - At Luton Station Interchange. Centrebus 709 (K6 YCL), an East Lancs Esteem bodied Scania N230UB new as a Scania demonstrator in July 2006 as YN06 TGE and Arriva the Shires 3912 (BV58 MLF), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 new in October 2008.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1209) – At Luton Station Interchange. Centrebus 709 (K6 YCL), an East Lancs Esteem bodied Scania N230UB new as a Scania demonstrator in July 2006 as YN06 TGE passes Arriva the Shires 3603 (KE55 FBY), a Wright bodied Scania L94UB new in May 2005, Both work services which travel along the Busway between Luton and Dunstable.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1411) – A general view of Luton Station Interchange. The four vehicles nearest the camera are Arriva the Shires 2511 (LM64 JNV), a Wright Streetlite. Alongside is 3601 (KE55 CTV), a Wright bodied Scania L94UB and behind that is an Arriva the Shires Van Hool T917 in Green Line livery. Former Anglian Bus Scania YN03 WRP is present although I didn’t record who operates it now.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1408) – This view taken from the Luton Station Interchange shows how close the Luton-Dunstable Guided Busway is to the Interchange itself. Between the two is Guildford Street (where the silver car is crossing) and then New Bedford Road. The Busway track climbs to cross Telford Way (the A6 dual carriageway) at the crest of the hill. An Arriva Wright Streetlite approaches along the bus only street link and Centrebus 513 (TU11 BUS) (former Enviro200 demonstrator YX61EKO) is parked in the layover bay.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1258) – Bus stop sign at Simpson Close on Dunstable Road, Challney (Luton). Service Z runs from Houghton Regis via Lewsey Farm, the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Challney. Near the Hatters Retail Park it joins the Busway for the run into Luton town centre. The other services continue via Dunstable Road.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1208) – Arriva the Shires 3603 (KE55 FBY), a Wright bodied Scania L94UB new in May 2005, seen at Luton Station Interchange. Branding is carried for the Luton-Milton Keynes service F70 which travels along the Busway between Luton and Dunstable.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1221) - Arriva the Shires 3912 (BV58 MLF), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 new in October 2008, leaving Luton Station Interchange on service 321 to Watford. The ‘Sapphire’ branding is used in different parts of the country by Arriva using buses with leather seats, wi-fi, etc.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1236) – Arriva the Shires 3602 (KE55 CTU) seen at Luton Station Interchange working Busway service A (Luton Aiport-Luton-Dunstable-Houghton Regis). A Wright bodied Scania L94UB new in September 2005.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1238) – Arriva the Shires 3963 (LT63 UNG), a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new in September 2013, seen at Luton Station Interchange working Busway service Z to Houghton Regis. Most Busway services travel the full distance of the Busway between Luton and Dunstable but service Z comes off near the Hatters Retail Park to take normal roads via Challney, the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Lewsey Farm. We travelled on this bus.

Thursday 30 April 2015 (1253) – Arriva the Shires 3963 (LT63 UNG), a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new in September 2013, seen at Dunstable Road (Halfway Avenue) working service Z to Houghton Regis. Upon leaving Luton town centre this service travels part way along the Busway turning off near the Hatters Retail Park to take normal roads via Challney, the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Lewsey Farm. We travelled on this bus

A Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new in June 2012. The offside low floor area is occupied by a substantial amount of luggage racking, useful for airport travellers but it robs the everyday passenger of valuable pram/seating space.
