Saturday 20 May 1988 (approx 1330) - Seen from on deck of the 'Tor Scandinavia' arriving at Esbjerg (Denmark) on the overnight sailing from Harwich (England). Standing on the quayside is a Neoplan coach operated by Thinggaards Ekspresbus. It would operate the 1415 service across the heart of the country to Aalborg (1810) and Frederikshavn (1915). Alongside it is a Plaxton bodied Bedford coach of an unknown operator.

Wednesday 1 June 1988 - Thinggaard, Nørresundby (Aalborg) 199 (JV 94 733), a Neoplan Cityliner N116 new in June 1985. The rear panel contains a map showing the two domestic express services operated at the time, service 880 (Frederikshavn-Aalborg-Esbjerg) and 881 (Aalborg-København (Copenhagen)) - the latter included a ferry crossing between Jutland and Seeland using two alternatives. The company also operated services to Hamburg (Germany) from København (886/887) and from Frederikshavn and Aalborg (885) and later became a Eurolines partner covering the then direct service from Northern Denmark to London.

Saturday 28 May 1988 (approx 1340) - Søndergaard of Fjerritslev 75 (JT 97 675) seen leaving the Mols Linien ferry 'Maren Mols' at Ebeltoft when working service 882 from København (Copenhagen) to Fjerritslev in Northern Jutland. A Leyland 7-1200T with DAB series 7 bodywork new in March 1985. After leaving the Søndergaard fleet in 1990 this vehicle worked for four other Danish companies before moving to Poland circa 2002. May/June 1988 – Brande Buslinier ApS is a company based in central Jutland, Denmark which is now related to the Herning Turist Group. Setra S215HD coach DT 98 883 was seen at the border crossing between Rosenkrantz, Germany and Rudbøl, Denmark. It was new in May 1985.

May/June 1988 – Skave Turistfart is based in the village of Skave in central Jutland, Denmark. Setra S215HD coach 7 (CT 98 850) was seen parked in Ebeltoft. Behind is a Mercedes-Benz O 303 coach operated by Mønsted Turistbusser of Viborg.
