Coastal Red (Lynx) (Norfolk)

Friday 11 March 2016 (1232) – Coastal Red began operations in North West Norfolk in late January 2015 trading as Lynx. Optare Tempo 1 (YJ05 JWZ) setting out from King's Lynn bus station on service 35 to Hunstanton. It was new as an Optare demonstrator in April 2005.

Friday 14 January 2022 (1001) – In its highly standardised fleet Lynx (Coastal Red Limited) has an operational fleet of 29 Optare Tempo vehicles (along with a further 8 in reserve). All are 12 metre long X1200 models except for this one, bus number 1 which is a 10.6 metre long X1060 model. (Although with such a front on view who would know it was a different length!) Lynx 1 (YJ05 JWZ) was seen picking up on London Road, King’s Lynn near the South Gate as it worked service 37 to Downham Market and Southery. The service 37 timetable at the time featured 8 trips as far as Hilgay three of which then continued to Southery and three of which continued to Ten Mile Bank. The last two trips in the late afternoon setting down by request to all points south of Downham Market.

Thursday 22 March 2018 (1216) – Lynx (Coastal Red Limited) 1 (YJ05 JWZ), an Optare Tempo that was first registered by Optare as a demonstrator in April 2005, seen leaving seen in King’s Lynn bus station. Lynx has standardised on the Tempo and the rear of another former Tempo demonstrator in the form of Lnyx number 7 (YJ58 CEY), which carries a blue based all over advertising livery for local radio station KL-FM, can be seen on the right.

Friday 14 January 2022 (1205) – Hello shorty! In its highly standardised fleet Lynx (Coastal Red Limited) has an operational fleet of 29 Optare Tempo vehicles (along with a further 8 in reserve). All are 12 metre long X1200 models except for this one. Number 1 (YJ05 JWZ) seen here in King’s Lynn bus station, is a 10.6 metre long X1060 model which was new as an Optare demonstrator in April 2005. I think it has a rather cute look about it.

New to First Cymru (64501) for operation on 'Traws Cambria' contract it moved to Arriva Cymru (2870) with the contract. Later sold to Pygall’s Coaches of Peterlee.

Friday 11 March 2016 (1101) – King's Lynn bus station: Coastal Red (Lynx) Optare Tempo 2 (YJ55 BJE) leaving for Hunstanton passing Coach Services of Thetford Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE BJ60 BYX that had recently arrived from Brandon on service 40.

Thursday 22 March 2018 (1044) – Lynx (Coastal Red Limited) 3 (YJ55 BKG) seen in King’s Lynn bus station. It is an Optare Tempo that had been new to Arriva Cymru (2860) in September 2005 for operation on 'Traws Cambria' services and operated by Marchant's Coaches of Cheltenham before working for Lynx.

The initial Lynx service competes with Stagecoach owned Norfolk Green, the bus in the background is about to work the 1315 service to Kings Lynn. The Lynx bus will depart for Kings Lynn at 1325. YJ55 BKK is an Optare Tempo new in September 2005 to Arriva Cymru (2861) for operation on 'Traws Cambria' services. It had subsequently been operated by Marchant's Coaches of Cheltenham.

It is an Optare Tempo new to Arriva Cymru (2865) in October 2005 for operation on 'Traws Cambria' services that had subsequently been operated by Marchant's of Cheltenham. Following behind on town service 2 to North Lynn is Stagecoach in Norfolk (Go West Travel Limited) 18280 (PX55 AHJ), an East Lancs Myllenium Lolyne bodied Alexander Dennis Trident that had been new to Stagecoach North West in February 2006.

Friday 11 March 2016 (1051) – Coastal Red began operations in North West Norfolk in late January 2015 trading as Lynx. Two Optare Tempo buses seen in King's Lynn bus station on service 35. Prominent is 5 (YJ55 BKU) which had just arrived on 0955 from Hunstanton and in the background is 2 (YJ55 BJE) loading as the 1100 service going to Hunstanton.
