Thursday 18 September 2014 (1444) – Centrebus Optare Solo 222 (KX06 APZ) seen in Church Street, Wellingborough when working service W8 to Bozeat. New in August 2006 operated by First Northampton (53073).

Saturday 21 April 2018 (1335) – Centrebus 229 (KX55 PFD), an Optare Solo that had been new to Stagecoach (United Counties) in February 2006, seen leaving Midland Road, Wellingborough on the 1327 service W8 to Bozeat. The brick building on the right is the old Post Office building seemingly surplus to requirements and up for sale. It carries the words ‘Post Office’ in the stone facing over the entrance door. The building was replaced by smaller property next door some years ago. Behind the Solo is Stagecoach Midlands 35222 (KX56 JZD), an Alexander Dennis Pointer Dart new in November 2006.

Friday 23 February 2018 (1217) – Centrebus 229 (KX55 PFD), an Optare Solo M850 new to Stagecoach United Counties (47403) in February 2006, in May 2016, It was seen just after leaving Hermitage Road in Hitchin.

Monday 18 July 2016 (1111) – Centrebus 239 (YC51 HAA) seen in Welwyn Garden City. Optare Solo M920 new in November 2001 to Geoff Amos of Eydon, Northamptonshire.

Tuesday 9 September 2014 (1546) – Centrebus 246 (W60 PJC) seen travelling through Empingham, Rutland when working the 1440 service 9 from Peterborough to Oakham. An Optare Solo new to Paul James Coaches, Hugglescote, Leicestershire in November 2001.

Friday 23 February 2018 (1103) – Centrebus 304 (FJ08 MBF), an Optare Solo M950 new in March 2008, seen parked by Broadway Gardens in Letchworth Garden City. It had worked the 1000 circular service via Arlesley and Stotfold which had arrived back at Letchworth Railway Station at 1055. The bus and driver were now taking a break. Letchworth, full title Letchworth Garden City, the world’s first Garden City established in 1903 inspired town planning across the globe. Created as a solution to the squalor and poverty of urban life in Britain in the late 19th Century based on the ideas of Ebenezer Howard as published in his book of 1898 ‘Tomorrow: A Peaceful Path to Reform’.

The building was completed in 1935 but in the 1970s the North Hertfordshire District Council moved to a newer purpose built facility. The Town Hall became the administrative centre for North Hertfordshire College.
