Reaching an event or destination the coaches get parked like sardines in a tin. Often coaches parked alongside might have originating points many miles apart.

Saturday 28 May 1994 – Coaches parked at RAF Mildenhall attending the annual Air Fete. This event was one of the largest aircraft shows in the country until it ceased to be for security reasons (circa early 2000s).
Left: Keelings Travel, Leeds YSU 491, a Duple Laser bodied Bedford YNT new to Larratt Pepper and Sons, Thurnscoe in April 1984 registered YWP 752
Right: Lloyd's and Nash, Nuneaton DJI 5578, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new to Premier Travel Services (347) in April 1987 registered D847 KVE. Latterly operated by Cambridge Coach Services. It still carried the fleet number 347. Premier added ten such coaches (342-351) to the fleet that year registered in the D-KVE series and whilst 342-345 and 350/351 carried matching registrations numbers coaches 346-349 were registered D846-849 KVE

Saturday 24 May 1997 – Coaches parked at RAF Mildenhall attending the annual Air Fete. This event was one of the largest aircraft shows in the country until it ceased to be for security reasons (circa early 2000s).
Left: Copeland’s Tours of Stoke-on-Trent with lettering for subsidiary Thomson’s, MIB 346, a Duple 425 integral that had been new to Grimshaw, Burnley in February 1989 registered F545 YCK. The Copeland’s name was carried on the angled front window but is difficult to see due to reflections. The Staffordshire Knot, the traditional symbol of Staffordshire, is carried on both front corners.
Right: MCW Metroliner GBZ 4991. I believe this had been new to East Midland in October 1986 registered D50 OWJ although I didn’t record the name of the operator.
