CR06 SCO is a Setra S415HD new in October 2005 to Britannia Travel Coach Hire (Broome & Eastwood), Otley registered BX56 VUE. Right: Preserved former Coventry City Transport 244 (EVC 244), a Park Royal bodied Daimler COG5 new in June 1940.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome R.B. Travel (R. Bull) of Pytchley near Kettering 61 (TH13 RBT), a Van Hool TX16 Alicron which I believe was new to Woods Coaches, Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire in March 2013 registered SN13 ABK.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Reg’s Coaches, Welwyn SF04 SRU, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B12B new to Hutchison, Overtown in March 2004. Reg’s Coaches was acquired by REL Capital in May 2023. This private investment company now owns a number of different coach businesses including Davian ((North London), Reg’s Coaches of Welwyn, South Mimms Travel, Redwing (London) and John James Travel (Romford).

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved former Ulsterbus 2599 (BXI 2599) was about to take visitors on a ride from the event. It is an Alexander (Belfast) bodied Bristol RELL new in May 1983.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved former Ellen Smith (Tours) Limited CDK 448C, a Harrington Grenadier bodied Leyland Leopard new in May 1965. Ellen Smith was based in my home town of Rochdale.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved former Leicester City Transport 122 (TRY 122H), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol RELL new in December 1969.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved SOX 859, a Duple bodied Commer Avenger III new in May 1956 to Worthington Tours, Birmingham.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved former United Counties FRP 692, an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol K new in December 1950, showing a very appropriate destination display. Beyond that is preserved Leyland Titan TNL112RR new to London Transport in November 1983. T883 (A883 SUL).

Sunday 1 September 2024 – BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome Preserved former West Midlands Travel (National Express West Midlands) 1432 (P432 JJW), a Wright Liberator bodied Volvo B10L new in March 1997 latterly used as a driver training vehicle.

Sunday 1 September 2024 – Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol coaches at the BUSES Festival, Sywell Aerodrome. VDV 749, a Bristol LS6G new to Western National (2206) in March 1957. OAX 9F, a Bristol RELH new to Red & White Services (RC968) in February 1968. 253 KTA, a Bristol MW6G new to Western National (2270) in April 1962. (The related companies Western National and Southern National jointly owned the Royal Blue Express Services business. Both the coaches seen here carry the Royal Blue livery).
