2024 on the A11 Barton Mills/Red Lodge : 2

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0901) – TNS Travel Limited of Walsall YD73 FOV seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Yutong ZK6938HQ new in September 2023. In the 1980s when I first started taking photographs on Summer Saturdays on this busy road nearly every other coach heading towards the Norfolk coast heralded from the West Midlands. This coach has been the only one from that area I have seen for a while.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0902) – REL Redwing Coaches BN17 JKU seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M new in May 2017. Based in London and Kent, Redwing was established in 1987. In February 2022 the business was acquired by REL Capital which also owns REL Davian North London Coaches. Quite a number of Redwing and Davian vehicles passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0903) – Bill’s Minibus and Coach Hire Limited, Milton Keynes YN13 XYS seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is an Irizar i6 bodied Scania K360 that had been new to Lucketts, Fareham in March 2013. There were a number of coaches of this operator that passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

It is an Irizar i6 bodied Scania K360 that had been new to Lucketts, Fareham in March 2013. There were a number of coaches of this operator that passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

It is a Mobi bodied Scania K320 new in September 2022. There were a number of coaches of this operator that passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0904) – Miller Brothers Coaches Limited (Andrews) P29 MBC seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B11RT that had been new to Park’s of Hamilton in June 2016 registered LSK 875. Later registered SA16 ZSM.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0904) – REL Davian Limited BV17 GOU seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills working a private hire for an Enfield church. It is a Caetano Levante bodied that had been new to Mike de Courcey Travel (MD33) in March 2017 for National Express contracted services. REL Davian and REL Redwing are part of REL Capital. Quite a number of their vehicles passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

It is a Mercedes-Benz Tourino O 510 that had been new to Wings Travel, Uxbridge in September 2013. It had been in the fleet of Grey’s of Ely where it carried registration ESU 394. (2017-2021?) Wilson’s operates from two locations, Desborough (Northamptonshire) and North Kilworth near Lutterworth (Leicestershire).

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0913) – George Regal Travel, Kingston Vale, London BU18 YRV seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo new in June 2018 to The Chariot Coaches Limited, Isleworth, Middlesex (according to the Companies House records that company was dissolved on 1 March 2023).

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0918) – Theobolds Coaches, Luton Y6 TBC in a downpour heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. Unfortunately, raindrops fell on the camera lens. It is a Temsa Safari HD new to County Coaches, Luton Airport in April 2017 registered YJ17 DBX. County Coaches and Theobolds are in the coachhire4u group. I saw two Theobolds vehicles during my hour at Fiveways which I assume were both working the weekly holiday service from Dunstable, Houghton Regis and Luton to Great Yarmouth. This service was advertised to run on the six Saturdays of the summer school holiday period (20 July-24 August 2024 inclusive) day return and period return bookings being available. Whereas the other coach today made a comfort stop at the Shell Service Area (behind the camera) this one continued on without stopping.

It is a Van Hool Astrobel bodied Volvo B12BT that had been new to Westway, Raynes Park in March 2006. There were a number of coaches of this operator that passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0919) – Harlequin Travel, High Wycombe YG18 ZKD in a downpour heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Yutong ZK6129HQ new in May 2018. Harlequin Travel YG18 ZKD at Fiveways, Barton Mills - 3 Aug 2024 (
