Sunday 5 May 2024 – The Mayor of Ipswich (Councillor Lynne Mortimer) had arrived at Christchurch Park, Ipswich to officially start the 2024 Ipswich-Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Run. She is seen seated in the small buggy alongside preserved Ipswich 9 (MRT 9P) used as a grandstand. It is a Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R was new in May 1976 as a normal covered top bus. The programme showed over 700 entries featuring Cars (514), Buses & Coaches (22), Commercials (32), Military (36), Motorcycles (81) and Leisure/special vehicles (52).

Sunday 5 May 2024 – Christchurch Park, Ipswich before taking part in the 2024 Ipswich-Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Run. Ipswich Corporation Transport’s first motor bus was 1 (ADX 1), a Park Royal bodied AEC Regent III, one of six such buses 1-6 (ADX 1-6) new in May 1950. Prior that that date the undertaking had operated electric powered trams and trolleybuses. In fact the last trolleybuses were delivered in June and July 1950 registered ADX 185-196.

Preserved former Eastern Counties Omnibus Company VR190 (VPW 85S), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR new in September 1977. This bus was to have been supplied to Waveney District Council (the latter day name for Lowestoft Corporation) but was diverted to ECOC after ECOC took over the WDC operation.
