September 1994 - A September evening in Clovis, New Mexico, USA. This photograph was taken by my daughter Karen and includes her friend Angelina who she was visiting.
Considering she was using a loaned snapshot type camera I thought she got a nice picture which seems to capture the evening atmosphere quite nicely. She even planned it to get the bus station sign in the background.
Coach number 30923 of TNM&O (Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma Coaches Inc) was an MCI 102-C3 new in 1991 and was seen when working the 1110 hrs schedule 452 from El Paso, Texas to Amarillo, Texas – a distance of about 450 miles, the greater part of which was in the state of New Mexico.
TNM&O became a subsidiary of Greyhound in 1987 and operated until April 2008 when operations were integrated into Greyhound. The famous running dog logo and US flag are prominent on the coach and have been highlighted by the camera flash. The use of reflective material for these, the fleet number and side fleet name not only enhance night time identity but are useful safety features also.
Seen a few minutes before the 1855 hrs departure time from the Union Bus Depot, about 7.5 hours and 350 miles have been covered with just under 2.5 hours and 100 miles still to go.

March 2002 – The art deco Greyhound bus station, Jackson, Tennessee was located at 407 East Main Street and opened in 1938. Services ceased using it around September 2018 and in November 2021 it became a steak restaurant thankfully with little exterior change.

Wc 14 April 2025 – A scene taken by my daughter Karen at the First Eastern Counties depot in Lowestoft.
The construction of the power station at Sizewell has seen Specialist Passenger Solutions, a division within First Group that caters for staff transport etc for such large projects, appointed to provide buses at Sizewell. The First Eastern Counties depots at Ipswich and Lowestoft have input for vehicle maintenance.
A number of Wright Streetlite DF buses in plain white paint are assigned to the contract and one of them is seen in this photograph at Lowestoft depot. It is 47804 (SK17 HGZ) new to Tower Transit (WV46218) in May 2017. Amber dome lights are fitted on the roof at front and rear.
Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the British Isles and so possibly this is the most easterly bus depot in England.
