Tuesday 28 February 2023 (1330) – Coaches operated by P.C. Coaches of Lincoln certainly put the over abundant ‘all white’ vehicles of many operators to shame! It was new to City Circle, Hayes as their 159 in April 2018 registered YN18 SWX.

Wednesday 1 March 2023 (1031) – P.C. Coaches of Lincoln operates the ‘Walk & Ride’ circular in the city centre of Lincoln which links the low-lying city centre and the Castle and Cathedral Quarter which stand on much higher ground. The difference in ground level is approx. 230 feet (70 metres) within a distance of 0.4 mile (0.65 km) linked by what is said to be the fourth steepest street in England although all general traffic, including the buses, take a longer route with a lesser incline. The dedicated bus stop units along the route each have three distinct panels featuring timetables and route diagrams. Sadly, they were all out of date as the service no longer serves this bus stop in Castle Square near the Tourist Information Centre. The service continues to run every 20 minutes six days a week but the route appears to have changed by deleting Castle Square and adding Lincoln Central railway station. The dedicated bus stop units along the route each have three distinct panels featuring timetables and route diagrams. Sadly, they were all out of date as the service no longer serves the bus stop near the Tourist Information Centre. In fact the bus stop in this photograph appeared to carry not one but two out of date timetables!! (A link to a tourist information page: www.visitlincoln.com/things-to-do/steep-hill )

Wednesday 1 March 2023 (1245) – The weather during our three day visit to Lincoln was a little chilly with on and off rain showers. The showers came and went during our walk around the walls of Lincoln Castle. From this vantage point I had wanted to get a photograph of the hotel where we stayed (The Castle Hotel) along with the ‘Walk & Ride’ shuttle bus as it passed. It just so happened that one of the heavier and driving rain showers came just at the wrong moment. Hence the raindrops on the camera lens and less than perfect shot. The windows of our hotel room are those within the roof top dormer of the left wing and our car is the light coloured one on the front forecourt. P.C. Coaches of Lincoln operates the ‘Walk & Ride’ circular in the city centre of Lincoln which links the low-lying city centre and the Castle and Cathedral Quarter which stand on much higher ground.
