ECOC buses in the snow : Jan/Feb 1985

Some of my photographs taken in January and February 1985 (35 years ago!!) tell that we had been having some snowy weather.

I had been taking snapshots of buses from an early age using cameras that produced square photos (not really compatible with rectangular buses) and it was in 1984 that I started to dabble with 35mm photography initially with a loaned camera.

I invested in my own 35mm camera using some money bequeathed by a deceased uncle and so began learning the ropes trying different exposures and ASA films - I even tried a 1000 ASA film once!

My early photographs had varied success and I dismissed them at the time. However, with the passage of time I found they had a historical and nostalgic quality.
