Friday 6 December 2019 – First Essex Buses 69916 (BV13 ZBY), a Volvo 7900H hybrid integral new in March 2013, seen in Chelmsford bus station. It carries branding for service 100 which links Chelmsford with Lakeside operating via Basildon and Grays on a frequency of every 15/20 minutes with a journey time of two hours. Note how the second letter of each word in CITY COUNTRY CONNECTIONS on the side is highlighted to depict 100.

Friday 25 September 2015 (1500) – First Essex Wrightbus Streetlite DF 47645 (SN15 AFE) (new May 2015) holds back to let 20500 (AO02 RBX) pull away. 20500, a Plaxton bodied Volvo B12M new to First Eastern Counties in May 2002, was working the 1500 ‘Aircoach’ service X30 to Stansted Airport.

Friday 25 September 2015 (1500) – Two First Essex Wrightbus Streetlite DF buses about to leave the Travel Centre in central Southend-on-Sea. 63168 (SN64 CJU) (new October 2014) leads 47645 (SN15 AFE) (new May 2015).

Friday 8 April 2016 (1107) – First Essex 65032 (YN05 TDZ), one of the Scania CN94UB OmniCity buses based at Chelmsford garage, new in July 2006. It was seen parked for a short break in Osborne Street, Colchester. The kerbside parking on this side of the street is opposite the bus stops forming Colchester ‘bus station’ and is used for layovers of buses.

Friday 8 April 2016 (1155) - First Essex 65031 (YN05 TDX), is a Chelmsford based Scania CN94UB OmniCity, seen passing the stalls of Colchester Market on the High Street followed by Wright Streetlite DF 63340 (SM65 EEY). The town’s famous water tower (opened 1883) dominates the background.

It is a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident new to First Capital (London) as their TNL1002 in September 2001. The building with the colonade forming the backcloth, now apartments, was constructed in 1820 as a Corn Exchange and later became the offices of Essex and Suffolk Equitable Fire Insurance Society.
