Delaine Buses Limited, is a well respected bus operator based in Bourne, Lincolnshire. The origins of the company date back to 1890.
Each year the company hosts a Running Day which sees its collection of preserved vehicles out on the road.

Saturday 29 September 2018 (1215) – Delaine Buses Limited 142 (AD07 DBL), an East Lancs Olympus bodied Volvo B9TL new in April 2007, seen in the yard of the Bourne premises. It is named ‘Thomas Arthur Smith’, the son of William Smith who founded the business in 1890.

Saturday 29 September 2018 (1002) – Seen at Ryhall near Stamford as it headed to The Delaine Running Day at Bourne, Lincolnshire.
TBC 164 is a Willowbrook bodied Leyland PD3/1 that had been new to Leicester City Transport in July 1958 with fleet number 164 which is now owned by the Leicester Arts and Museums Services.

Saturday 29 September 2018 (1114) – Among the visiting vehicles to The Delaine Running Day at Bourne, Lincolnshire was JRA 635, a Crossley bodied Leyland PS1 that had been new to Chesterfield Corporation Transport in 1947 with fleet number 48. This photograph shows the entrance door and steps of the rear doored bodywork.

Saturday 29 September 2018 (1113) – Attending The Delaine Running Day at Bourne
EAV 458, a Duple bodied Leyland PS1/1 new to Sutherland of Peterhead in March 1948. In 1950 the Sutherland bus operations were acquired by Walter Alexander and Sons Limited. Alexander’s was split into three companies and the name glass over the driver’s windscreen is from Alexander’s Northern.
EHL 336, is a Roe bodied Leyland PS2/13A new as the West Riding Automobile Company’s 725 in November 1952.
They were seen parked on the property of Delaine’s next door neighbour which was being used for additional event parking today.

Saturday 29 September 2018 (1113) – Among the visiting vehicles to The Delaine Running Day at Bourne was OFW 806, a Bristol SC4LK with an Eastern Coachworks body, that was new to the Lincolnshire Road Car Company in June 1957 as their 2609. The SC4LK model came as a bus (which had a larger more vertical radiator grille) or coach (as seen here). This was a 33 seat coach version. The destination display is set for the Bourne to Sleaford service 34. The blue buildings in the background on the right are the Delaine premises, the car park of a neighbour was being used for additional event parking today.
