Thursday 13 September 2018 (1113) – Nottingham City Transport 604 (YP63 WFD), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD new in December 2013. It wears the ‘silver spare’ livery for use as required on any of the otherwise coloured branded services. Seen here working a Turquoise Line service when photographed travelling along Maid Marian Way. Looks like a bona fide turquoise line bus in the background.

Thursday 13 September 2018 (1039) – Nottingham City Transport acquired the South Notts Bus Company of Gotham in 1991 and still use the South Notts branding today. 647 (YN15 EJK), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD new in March 2015, was seen on Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham city centre about to depart for Loughborough. Standing behind is (YT59 OZR), an Optare (as successor to East Lancs) built Omnidekka bodied Scania N270UD new in September 2009, working service 49 to the Boots site at Beeston. The famous Boots company was established in Nottingham in 1849. The factory and warehouse site at Beeston grew to become one of the largest employers in the city. A number of the factory buildings on the estate site are now historically listed.

Thursday 13 September 2018 (1055) – Just as the 1055 departure of the ‘Red Arrow’ non-stop service to Derby had moved off the departure stand, the 1105 vehicle moved in. Trent Barton (trentbarton) 741 (FJ09 BXF), a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in March 2009, wears a promotional livery for the Mango payment card. The 1055 service was worked by a Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B11RT coach (81) in full ‘Red Arrow’ livery. Two rather different types.

Thursday 13 September 2018 (1055) – Trent Barton (trentbarton) 81 (YX65 ZHL) reversing off the departure stand at Victoria bus station, Nottingham bound for Derby on the ‘Red Arrow’ service. After making two pick-up stops at Upper Parliament Street and the Queens Medical Centre the service then runs non-stop to Derby with a timetabled time of 35 minutes bus station to bus station. The service runs day and night and has a frequency of every 10 minutes in the main part of the day. It is a Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B11RT that was new in October 2015. In the background is 741 (FJ09 BXF), a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in March 2009, wearing a promotional livery for the Mango payment card. It is set to work the next ‘Red Arrow’ departure to Derby at 1105.
