Saturday 2 June 2018 (1800) – Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) 22342 (NK55 AJO), an Alexander ALX200 bodied MAN new in October 2005, seen turning from Pilgrim Street to New Bridge Street West in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The stone column in the background is a monument to Charles, Earl Grey, K.C., erected in 1838.

Friday 1 June 2018 (0932) – Two Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) Alexander Dennis built vehicles seen in Grainger Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The main subject is 26063 (SN66 WLR), an Enviro200 MMC new in November 2016 working service 30 to Fenham. On the left is 19387 (NK58 AFE), an Enviro400 bodied Trident new in September 2008 which carries a rear end advert for cross town service 22 from Throckley to the Cobalt Business Park. The advert says that the 22 is a lucky number for passengers Mark at P&G (Procter and Gamble), Sharky at DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) and Alison at telecoms company EE. Friday 1 June 2018 (0933) – Two Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) Alexander Dennis built vehicles seen in Grainger Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The rear end features a canny advert for Stagecoach’s own phone app ……and a not so canny advert as to how one can acquire a competing form of transport!!

Saturday 2 June 2018 (1136) – This was the only photograph I managed to take featuring this particular rear end advert which unfortunately is blurred. One of a series of adverts for Stagecoach’s own phone app which uses the words ‘It’s nee bother’ (It’s no bother). Vehicle is a Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC seen near Newcastle-upon-Tyne Central Station. It was in hot pursuit of a Go North East Scania OmniCity branded for the ‘Toon Link’ (Town Link) services. Both therefore capitalising on local dialect.

Friday 1 June 2018 (1123) – Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) 26071 (SN66 WMD), an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC new in November 2016, seen in Blackett Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The rear end advert for Stagecoach’s phone app features local dialect ‘doon toon’ (down town). In the background are two businesses both founded on Tyneside. Fenwick's Department Store was founded in the 1880s in Newcastle and now has branches in York, London and six other locations in the south of England. Greggs probably needs no further introduction as it must have one of its bakery shops in nearly every medium sized town throughout Britain. (Their website claims over 2,000 locations and aiming for 2,500)

Friday 1 June 2018 (1800) – Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) 10653 (SN16 OZS), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC new in August 2016, seen in Gallowgate, Newcastle-upon-Tyne heading to North Walbottle on service 62. The Chinese Arch, built in 2004 by Shanghai craftsmen, spans St. Andrew’s Street. The area out of shot where the grass bank is on the right was once the site of the United Automobile Services bus and coach station/garage.

Friday 1 June 2018 (1009) – The contractor had just finished a clean of a bus shelter on High Street West (by The Avenue) in Wallsend on behalf of Nexus, the transport authority in the Tyneside area. Heading towards the camera is Stagecoach (Busways) 12084 (NK11 DJY), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Trident new in August 2011. The photograph was taken from the upper deck of similar bus 12076 (NK11 DHY).

Friday 1 June 2018 (1317) – Stagecoach (Busways Travel Services) 27734 (NK11 BGE), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300 new in April 2011, seen in South Shields. The bus carries branding for the South Shields-Sunderland services (E1, E2 and E6) branding which features the controversial (from a passenger point of view - forgive the pun!) vinyl material covering bus windows. However, there is some scope for viewing through funfair style circles cut from the material.
