Mulleys Motorways YJ23 EKO and Coach Services BJ60 BYX in Mildenhall - 24 Oct 2025 (P1220578)

Friday 24 October 2025 (1157) - Mulleys Motorways YJ23 EKO seen in Mildenhall bus station when working the 1120 service 355 from Bury St. Edmunds to Holywell Row and Beck Row.

It is an Optare Metrodecker one of two such buses (with YJ23 EKN) delivered on Friday 24 March 2023. Powered by Mercedes-Benz engines these integral buses were part of an order placed by Reading Buses in June 2018 to operate the Green Line branded route 702 from London to Slough, Windsor and Legoland. The order was cancelled in July 2020 as part of a number of financial cutbacks made following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the built buses stored until new buyers were found. (Built by Optare before the company became Switch Mobility in November 2020).

Also in the photograph is Coach Services Limited of Thetford BJ60 BYX, a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in October 2010.
