Barry Plumpton G41 YMC in Mildenhall – 23 May 1991

Thursday 23 May 1991 – Barry Plumpton Minibuses (Mildenhall and Feltwell) had recently acquired Ford Transit mini-bus G41 YMC for contract and private hire work.

George Edwards is seen at the wheel. Unfortunately, the very next day the master brake cylinder failed whilst George was driving an afternoon school contract (on which my younger daughter was travelling) and the offside of the vehicle received some damage from a lamp post. George and the three children on board were all safe. The repair work was followed by a perhaps earlier than planned re-paint into the white and gold scheme carried by other Plumpton vehicles.
