Stevenage bus station – 21 Sep 2002 (501-08)

Saturday 21 September 2002– A general view of Stevenage bus station. This bus station closed for town centre redevelopment in 2022 with the site becoming an public amenity area. A new bus station was opened a short distance away.

From left to right the buses are:

Arriva the Shires 2105 (M45 WUR), a Plaxton Beaver bodied Mercedes-Benz O 709D new in July 1995 to LDT Limited. LDT later became part of Arriva.

Sovereign Bus & Coach Company 131 (W131 XRO), a Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLE new in April 2000

Sovereign Bus & Coach Company 144 (PN02 HVR), a Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLE that had been new to Lancashire United (a fellow Blazefield owned company) in June 2002

London Transit R79 GNW, a UVG Compass bodied Dennis Dart new to Speedlink in April 1998

Arriva the Shires 3202 (R202 RBM), a Northern Counties bodied Scania L113CRL new in November 1997 to LDT Limited. LDT later became part of Arriva.
