Stagecoach East 10807 (SN66 WBD) in Cambridge - 15 May 2023 (P1150513)

Monday 15 May 2023 (1143) – The old order proclaiming the arrival of the new.

In April 2023 Stagecoach East started to take delivery of the first of the thirty new MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers to work the Cambridge Park & Ride services replacing diesel buses doing this work since 2017.

10807 (SN66 WBD), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D MMC new in January 2017, seen in Drummer Street carries the orange based livery for the Newmarket Road service. There are five different Park & Ride sites and each has its own coloured buses.

However, the replacing buses will all carry the same livery and the characters on the destination displays will be in the appropriate colour for the particular site being served.

Before 10807 was handed over to Stagecoach East in 2017 it had, along with a number of other vehicles, been temporarily assigned to Stagecoach Merseyside (Glenvale) to provide increased capacity during railway engineering works on the Merseyrail Wirral line.
