Yellow Star Travel (Burtons Coaches) direction sign at Hargrave - 17 Apr 2011 (DSCN5528)

Sunday 17 April 2011 - As part of an ownership change, Burtons Coaches of Haverhill operated under the registered name of Yellow Star Travel Services Limited from August 2009 until operations ceased in late May 2011.

The Haverhill to Bury St. Edmunds services operated by the company meandered via different routes serving various villages as detours from the more direct A143 main road.

To assist drivers the company placed small direction arrows made from corrugated plastic at certain places along the line of route which featured a yellow star in the same style as those forming part of the Burtons fleetname.

This one was seen in Wickhambrook Road, Hargrave to direct drivers to Chevington.
