Bus Éireann vehicles at Bus Áras, Dublin - 11 May 1996 (311-21A)

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0850) – Apologies for this very gloomy shot which features Bus Éireann coaches loading in the rain for their morning departures from Busáras, Dublin. Left to right:

VP17 (96 D 25762), a Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M new in 1996, bound for Waterford on service 005.

PD39 (91 D 10039), a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied DAF new in 1991, bound for Waterford and Dungarvan (due 1250) on service 004.

Then three a Caetano Algarve bodied Volvo B10Ms new in 1994:
VC11 (94 D 23654) bound for Sligo on service 23 (Eurolines livery)
VC14 (94 D 23653) bound for Ballina on service 873 (Eurolines livery on a Eurolines service)
VC10 (94 D 21826) bound for Galway on service 820 (Bus Eireann livery on a Eurolines service)

VC14 and VC10 had both worked through from London overnight on the Eurolines branded services which departed Victoria Coach Station at 2000 the previous evening. These services were numbered in the 8xx series with the second and third digits taking on the service numbers carried on the services between Dublin and the provincial towns operated throughout the day. For example 873/073 and 820/020.
