Fenland Busfest at Whittlesey - 15 May 2022 (P1110761)

Sunday 15 May 2022 (1121) – The Fenland Busfest at Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. The rally is held in the town centre occupying Broad Street and Market Street with the rally control/bus ride departures centred on the Market Place. In this view are two vehicles representing Whippet Coaches Limited.

Left, from the current fleet, is WD446 (YN08 DHM), an all Scania N230UD new to London United in March 2008 as their SP26. It carries route branding for the old established service worked between Huntingdon and Cambridge which now serves Cambourne, a new and expanding development about six miles west of Cambridge.

Right, now preserved by Alex Cavanagh a member of Eastern Bus Enthusiasts, the organisers of the Busfest event, is VAV 160X is a Plaxton Supreme VI bodied Volvo B10M new in April 1982.
