First Bus (Kingfisher ex Yorkshire Rider) 9411 (FTO 549V) in Huddersfield – 12 Oct 1995 (291-21)

Thursday 12 October 1995 – Yorkshire Rider, owned by Badgerline since April 1994 became First Bus in June 1995 after the merger with GRT Holdings.

In September 1995 Yorkshire Rider was split up into four localised companies based on Bradford (Bradford Traveller), Halifax (Calderline), Huddersfield (Kingfisher) and Leeds (Leeds City Link).

9411 (FTO 549V), a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT now in the driver training fleet, had been new to Barton Transport (549) in October 1979. It was passing Huddersfield bus station where Plaxton bodied Mercedes-Benz 2243 (M243 VWU) can be seen. Presumably it was now a Kingfisher vehicle.
