On board Bebb Travel S53 UBO – 27 Feb 2001 (458-28)

Tuesday 27 February 2001 (approx. 0930) – On board Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre S53 UBO, a Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M new in October 1998, which was working 0855 Pontypridd to Bradford National Express service 321. I travelled on the service as far as Birmingham. The moquette used on the seats is not what I would expect to see on an Expressliner. I always thought the National Express logo was woven into the fabric. The coach was fitted with a reversing camera linked to the screen visible beneath the upper bulkhead.

The coach was due to arrive in Bradford at 1745 and the next day it would work the 0650 service 320 to Cardiff arriving 1355. After a change of driver it would return north on the 1520 Cardiff to Bradford service 320 arriving at 2200. The day after that it would then work back to South Wales as the 1030 service 321 from Bradford to Pontypridd arriving at 1905.
