Preserved Ribble 1686 (NRN 586) and Stagecoach North West 11148 (YX68 UWY) in Lancaster - 25 May 2019 ( P1020267)

Saturday 25 May 2019 – Fifty eight years separate these two buses seen in Lancaster bus station.

Left is preserved NRN 586, an MCW bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 that was new to Ribble Motor Services as their 1686 in October 1960. It was when running a shuttle service to the Stagecoach North West garage open day at Morecambe. The event, and the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust 'Morecambe Vintage Bus Day' held in Morecambe the next day, were to celebrate 100 years of Ribble Motor Services.
