Preserved Standerwick 60 (LRN 60J) at Morecambe - 25 May 2019 (P1020285)
Saturday 25 May 2019 - Stagecoach North West hosted an open day at their Morecambe garage to celebrate 100 years since the formation of Ribble Motor Services. Stagecoach acquired Ribble in May 1989.

W C Standerwick was a Ribble subsidiary from the early 1930s remaining so until the National Travel era of the early 1970s that operated services to London from the Lake District and Lancashire via the Midlands.

LRN 60J is an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VRLL coach new in March 1971, one of the second generation of double deck coaches used by the Ribble/Standerwick/Scout group on the London services which superseded the ‘Gay Hostess’ Atlantean coaches.
