DSCF5395 The Remembrance Day Parade in Mildenhall - 11 Nov 2018

Sunday 11 November 2018 (1033) – The Remembrance Day Parade in Mildenhall is attended by personnel of the United States Air Force from the local air bases at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath.

In the background are two Caetano Levante bodied coaches operated by Whippet Coaches working National Express service 727 which were held up. That on the left was the 0630 Heathrow to Norwich service (Whippet NX24) due at Mildenhall at 1015. That on the right is the 0855 Norwich to Gatwick service due at Mildenhall at 1030. Despite a notice in the bus station advising that these two trips would use an alternative pick-up point in the High Street it would seem that no one thought to advise the drivers that they would not be delayed if they circled the town via College Heath Road and Field Road. In the end both reversed back to get on their way but sadly local social media decried their actions for allegedly 'disturbing' the ceremony.
