DSCF5051 The Delaine Museum at Bourne - 29 Sep 2018

DSCF5051 The Delaine Museum at Bourne - 29 Sep 2018
Saturday 29 September 2018 (1225) – Delaine Buses Limited of Bourne, Lincolnshire has created its own bus museum as a separate charity, The Delaine Heritage Trust.

The museum collection is in a purpose built building at the garage site in Bourne and, as well as providing covered accommodation for the (currently) five preserved buses, there are numerous artefacts, photographs and records on display that cover the history of the company which had its origins in 1890.

This display creates a representation of the ‘boss’s desk’ from the 1950s with various period items. The photograph is of Thomas Arthur Smith and his son Hugh with Ford Model T bus number 1 (PW 1558).
