Eastern Counties MB56 (L256 LAH) and TH914 (C914 BEX) in Bury St. Edmunds - 11 Jun 1994
Saturday 11 June 1994 – Two Eastern Counties Omnibus Company mini-buses marooned in St. Andrew’s Street North during the Bury St. Edmunds Carnival. The leading bus is MB56 (L256 PAH), a Mercedes-Benz O 609D with Frank Guy body conversion new in November 1993. (The vehicles in this series were re-classified as ‘MG’ around this time). The vehicle behind is TH914 (C914 BEX), a Ford Transit with Robin Hood bodywork conversion new in March 1986. The buildings in the background are still recognisable today although the area off camera to the right now houses the Arc Shopping Centre and Apex events hall and was an open area forming the Cattle Market and car parks.
