DSCF0916 Whippet Coaches (National Express contractor) NX12 (BK15 AKF) in Mildenhall - 8 Mar 2018

Thursday 8 March 2018 (1224) – Whippet Coaches NX12 (BK15 AKF), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in July 2015, seen edging its way out of Mildenhall bus station when working the 1045 National Express service 727 from Norwich (UEA) to Gatwick Airport. Service 727 had its origins as a ‘Jetlink’ branded service which later saw operation under the ‘National Express Airport’ brand. It was worked by National Express Operations Limited for a number of years (covered from garages near Heathrow and Stansted Airports as well as from an outstation at Norwich). In January 2018 Whippet took over as the contractor for this service (and for some of the London services from Norfolk and Suffolk) working from an outstation near Diss/Eye in Suffolk.
