Saturday 18 March 1995 - Eastern Counties Omnibus Company MA721 (C721 BEX), an Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz L608D new in February 1986, seen in Castle Meadow, Norwich. Upon privatisation from National Bus Company ownership Eastern Counties was purchased by its management. However, in late 1993 the company was sold to GRT Holdings of Aberdeen that incorporated a thistle in place of a dot over the ‘i’ in the fleetname. GRT Holdings, along with the Badgerline Group, ultimately became First Group.
