ECOC VR244 (JAH 244V) in Ipswich - 11 Apr 1995
Tuesday 11 April 1995 – Eastern Counties Omnibus Company VR244 (JAH 244V), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR new in November 1979, seen in Ipswich bus station. Upon privatisation from National Bus Company ownership Eastern Counties was purchased by its management. However, in late 1993 the company was sold to GRT Holdings of Aberdeen. This livery layout was created by GRT for its different subsidiaries with each company employing different colours appropriate the individual subsidiary. The livery used by the management owned ECOC can be seen on the bus alongside with the three colours now applied in quite a different style. GRT Holdings, along with the Badgerline Group, ultimately became First Group
