Thursday 1 September 2016 (1144) - Arriva the Shires 5003 (KP63 TDX), an electric powered Wrightbus Streetlite, seen on the recharging grid in Church Street, Wolverton – the northern terminus of service 7. Charging takes place wirelessly between a primary coil set in the road which transfers electricity to a secondary coil under the bus. The latter is lowered upon arrival to about 4cm above the former. Charging takes place for about ten minutes at each end of the hour long journey.
