Lewis Meridian YYY 563M leaving Red Lodge - 9 Jun 1996

Lewis Meridian YYY 563M leaving Red Lodge - 9 Jun 1996
Saturday 9 June 1996 – Lewis Meridian Coaches are still based in Greenwich, South East London – a place famous for the Greenwich Meridian zero degrees longitude which is incorporated in the company name. Each coach also included its own individual name after the fleetname, in this case ‘Clipper’. YYY 563M was a Willowbrook Crusader bodied AEC Reliance which was seen here leaving Red Lodge after making a refreshment break. It was going to join the A11 dual carriageway which is visible in the background. References on the Internet tell that this coach was new as UMT 903M and carried a Plaxton body and that it was rebodied by Willowbrook in April 1990. Mention is made that it carried two ‘IIW’ series registration numbers IIW 670 and IIW 783.
