Yelloway-Trathen E100 VWA at Victoria Coach Station, London - 29 Oct 1989

Yelloway-Trathen E100 VWA at Victoria Coach Station, London - 29 Oct 1989
Monday 29 October 1989 – E100 VWA was the one and only Neoplan N122/3 Skyliner built in the United Kingdom assembled by the then UK Neoplan dealer Carlton PSV (ATL Holdings). ‘Bus Lists on the Web’ states ‘Chasis (sic) from A146 RVL’ and that it was first registered to Yelloway-Trathen in January 1988. ATL acquired a holding in the Trathen business during the period when it also owned Yelloway Motor Services. The two businesses were then combined to form Yelloway-Trathern Express. In September 1989 National Express acquired the ATL share in Yelloway-Trathen – I believe the business was renamed to Trathens Travel Services at that time. E100 VWA was seen in Victoria Coach Station, London ready to work the 1530 National Express ‘Rapide’ service 501 to Exeter, Torbay and Totnes, a scheduled run of 5 hours 20 minutes.
