Saturday 13 August 1994 (approx 1130) – In addition to its daily network of services most of which operate all year round, National Express has a number of Saturday only summer holiday express services numbered in the 600 series. Operating the Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Skegness service 663 and seen during the refreshment break at Ferrybridge Service Area was Northern National 7049 (FCU 190). It was a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Leyland Tiger new to Hills of Tredegar in March 1989 registered F596 BTG. Service 663 departed Newcastle at 0855 picking up in Gateshead (0900), Sunderland (0930), and Middlesbrough (1005) arriving at Skegness (Richmond Drive) (1410) and Butlin’s Funcoast World (1420). The return was 1530 from Funcoast World travelling via the same points to arrive back in Newcastle at 2055. There were two coaches duplicating in the form of Don Smith Coaches HIL 5835 and Delta Coaches FIL 8694.
