DSCN1349 J M Geddes and Son (Burton Coaches) Leyland bus 1950s

DSCN1349 J M Geddes and Son (Burton Coaches) Leyland bus 1950s
A photograph of a photograph on display in the railway station at Kingswear on the preserved Dartmouth Steam Railway. It features a Leyland bodied lowbridge double decker operated from the early 1950s by Burton Coaches (J M Geddes and Son) on their service from Brixham to Kingswear. In the 'Little Red Book' 1956/1957 the fleet is shown as totaling 11 vehicles (8 Bedford, 2 Leyland and 1 Commer chassis). The bodybuilders are shown as 6 Duple, 3 Gurney Nutting, 1 Woodhall Nicholson and 1 Leyland. This leads me to think that perhaps this was their only double decker at the time.
